Death
Game over. The End. Kicking the bucket. Kneeling over. Sliding from the mortal coil.
In a setting like this, death happens and is actually expected. There’s a contingency for that because even death is a culmination of choices regardless of any freak happenstance. Like all decisions, there is an effect that plays out in the world that characters occupy, and perhaps this too is a test of personal choices. Or maybe a consequence of them. However, just because there is a contingency does not mean that death is not a complicated process nor should the recovery from it.
After 3 in-game day cycles, characters rise from the dead. Characters will suffer various effects as a result of their death paired with the number of deaths that they have endured in game. These assigned effects will last for the next in game month upon a character’s return from beyond the grave. Each level beyond the first will have previous effects stack.
Characters who die and then are hiatused will endure the effects of their deaths upon their return. After all, decisions made or were forced upon them have consequences, but vulnerabilities build character, right?
For organization and tracking purposes, post a blank top level to this page with the character’s name and canon in the subject line. Upon each death, reply to that top level with the contents of the below form. A Mod will reply with the death effects that your character will endure; all effects will be from a specific category and RNG.
