ACTIVITY REWARDS
In Edictum, reward points are automatically generated with the successful completion of monthly activity. This means that there is no thread counting requirement in order to have access to rewards, though players will still be required to request benefits or items for their characters.
Points are collected as follows:
For all skill rewards, we have a limit of ONE of each for the following: non-magical skills, passive skills, and magical skills.
Skill Gain (Random) ➡
4 Points
Characters will be assigned a random skill by the mod team using RNG. This skill may be non-magical, magical, passive or even world-ending. A character blessed with an ability will sense something is different about them, but it is up to them to discover through trial and error or other experiences what their new ability is and how to control it. No doubt some fun hijinks could occur and are encouraged.
Skill Gain (or regain) (magical, passive) ➡
6 Points
Ex: telepathy, magic detection, or another passive magical skill that your character wouldn't normally know off-hand. They will wake up one morning able to do it. If you're unsure where your ability falls, please contact the mods. Limit one per character at a time. If a player wants their character to regain more, then they will need to lose a skill. At the time of cashing in on your reward, note which skill you're losing and which one you're gaining.
This tier also includes those who came here without their abilities -- a lesser or passive skill may be redeemed with these points.
Skill Gain (or regain) (magical) ➡
9 Points
Ex: An equivalent of the spell Fira or Thundara that your character wouldn’t already know. They will wake up one morning able to do it. If you're unsure where your ability falls, please contact the mods. Limit one per character at a time. If a player wants their character to regain more, then they will need to lose a skill. At the time of cashing in on your reward, note which skill you're losing and which one you're gaining.
This tier also includes those who came here without their abilities -- mid-tier ability could be redeemed through these points.
Skill Gain (or regain) (world-ending) ➡
12 Points
A character will gain a skill of particular potency that, if uncontrolled or utilized with wanton disregard, could end the world or create considerable damage to it. The discovery and learning to control this new ability should take time for competence and even more so for mastery. Abilities such as Materia: Meteor (FFVII), Eikons (FFXVI), etc are just some examples of world destructive abilities.
Characters whose powers are of this calliber in canon may regain them through this reward.
Inventory Regain (random) ➡
4 Points
Regain one random item. The item may or may not be from a character’s canon, and may or may not be particularly useful. Players may add a preference in the request for an item of a particular type (eg. tool, weapon, food, etc.) or genre (eg. gag, celebratory, etc.) but otherwise, the mod team will RNG something.
Inventory Regain (small) ➡
4 Points
Regain one item from the character’s canon. The item should be lightweight and be able to be held in one hand. The item should be one the character would canonically have in their possession at some point.
Inventory Regain (medium) ➡
6 Points
Regain one item from a character’s canon. The item should be able to be held with two hands, with or without difficulty. The item should be one the character would canonically have in their possession at some point.

Memory Regain ➡
10 Proofs
You can only possess one of these at a time. This reward applies to characters who were dropped from Edictum and reapplied for later (by the same player), or by memories that may be lost in events. You can redeem this for exactly one memory. If you have additional memories you want to regain, you will have to redeem further points.
Additional Character ➡
8 Points
You can only have one of these in possession at a time. If you've already hit your maximum of two characters and you want to apply for another one, apply for an additional character slot. AC Pass (half) ➡
6 Points
You may only redeem and hold one of these at a time, which will be notated (🏆) on the taken character page.
This pass will allow you to give half of your AC for the month of your choosing. For example, since our AC is 7 comments a month, we will allow 3 comments instead.
